About the role:

We are looking to recruit a Project Administrator for a newly created role. You will work as within our small but busy and fast paced operations team. Reporting into the Operations Manager, your main tasks will include approving bills, entering jobs onto our various systems, compiling job folders, booking travel and accommodation and all other associated project administration.

About you:

Experience in a busy administration role is a must. You will need to be open minded, flexible and positive about change. You will be solution focused with the ability to forward think and juggle conflicting priorities. You will have a confident phone manner, possess a high attention to detail and be computer savvy.  Experience using excel, Xero and Nexvia would be advantageous but not essential.

We have exciting and varied opportunities for both Painters/Sprayers and experienced Foremen/ Site Supervisors in both the North and South Island . However,  we are particularly keen to talk to you if you’re based in Auckland.

Skilled Foreman Painter/ Site Supervisor – Various Locations around New Zealand

Being a Foreman Painter is no easy task, being in charge on site and responsible for a team of painters requires a high level of responsibility, reliability, integrity and the ability to motivate and influence others. You will live the Carus Core Values, have good working knowledge of health and safety procedures and have a genuine desire in providing high quality work. You will need to be flexible as some jobs require overnight stays in which a generous overnight allowance is provided.

Your main tasks will include:
  • Being the site point of contact for the Project Manager, updating them of your progress and flagging any issues with the job.
  • Overseeing and motivating a team of painters
  • Applying paint coatings to industrial and commercial buildings, following standard trade painting practices.
  • Height safety work while roof spraying
  • Ensuring the site has the correct health and safety requirements in place.
It is essential you:
  • Have several years know how as an industrial painter and/or roof sprayer with recent experience as an acting foreman/ Site Supervisor.
  • Must be physically fit and have a high attention to detail.
  • Are able to keep calm and level headed under pressure
  • Are able to pass a pre- employment drug and alcohol test.
  • Have the ability to travel frequently, including overnight
  • Hold NZ residency or a valid work visa
  • Have a valid driving licence
It is desirable you:
  • Hold a SiteSafe Passport, Elevated work platform certificate, Height and Harness Certificate 15757 and an up to date first aid certificate
  • Hold a relevant trades supervisor qualification

Painter- Various Locations around New Zealand

As a Painter, you will be reliable and trustworthy, taking great pride in the quality of your work and have a high attention to detail. Working as part of a team, you will live the Carus Core Values and have sound knowledge of health and safety procedures.

Your main tasks will include:
  • Preparing painting surfaces
  • Mixing, matching and applying paint to different surfaces
  • Setting out health and safety requirements as needed
  • Ensuring surrounding areas are adequately protected from paint
  • Touch ups, as necessary
It is essential you:
  • Must be physically fit and have a high attention to detail.
  • Have a positive, can do approach to your work
  • Are able to pass a pre- employment drug and alcohol test.
  • Have the ability to travel frequently, including overnight
  • Hold NZ residency or a valid work visa
It is desirable that you:
  • Hold a SiteSafe Passport, Elevated work platform certificate, Height and Harness Certificate 15757 and an up to date first aid certificate
  • Having a full driving licence.
