Built in 1876, the iconic Old Government Building is New Zealand’s largest and grandest wooden building, the second largest wooden building in the world and a Category 1 Historic Building.
Works performed by Carus on The Wooden Government Building involved the preparation, painting and coordinating works of the large wooden structure in stages to ensure the smooth running of the University.
“Carus completed the exterior painting of Wooden Government Building in Wellington over the summer of 2015/16. They completed the painting to a high standard and met the challenges of working around a fully functioning University and tight timeframes well. Both the company management and onsite staff were a pleasure to deal with and the painters took pride in their painting and workmanship. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with Carus again.”
